I started off my career at a local football club Needham Phoenix playing on Sunday mornings. It wasn’t so much playing in goal I enjoyed the most at the age, it was more the diving in the mud and playing with my friends. However after about 6 months of playing I got picked up by Ipswich Town Academy and this is where I spent 8 years of my career playing. Moving on from Ipswich I had spells at Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday and I also represented Suffolk at County level.

As I’m now approaching the end of my playing career, my passion has now turned into helping younger goalkeepers, to lead them along the right path to have a promising and enjoyable career, no matter what level they play at.
